Press release Landerneau April 8, 2015

In a press release dated April 3, 2015, the Brittany Region announces that a mediator was appointed to save the cargo of the vessel "KARL" ... what the seafarers will become once the cargo "saved"?

Brittany Region appoints a "social" or "economic" mediator to save the cargo of "Karl". MOR GLAZ Association does not want that reassuring stories will be told to the seafarers in order that the vessel can sail, or worse, forcing them to discharge the cargo of the ship. Those who chose this ship must take and fulfill their responsibilities, including seafarers' wages.

The association MOR GLAZ requests again to organize the repatriation of the seafarers of the "KARL" as soon as possible, after payment of wages.

The "pseudo-shipowner" "non professional shipowner", by not fulfilling its obligations (provision not ordered by the shipowner, wages and repatriation of seafarers not done), MOR GLAZ "affirms" that these seafarers who have been abandoned, and for several days, but so predictable since the arrival of the ship. Every day that passes, the situation becomes more and more critical for the 8 seafarers from Honduras, Guatemala and Romania, some of them have exceeded their 6 months contract.

The association MOR GLAZ, requests neither tolerance nor indulgence for those who do not meet the social criteria for seafarers, whatever is their country (Honduras, Guatemala, Romania or elsewhere...).no tolerance for those that does not charter the good ship.

The association MOR GLAZ says and denounces a bit questionable and social action from the Brittany Region.
